Your local Dairy Queen is closed from September to May.

Someone in a Home depot store offers you assistance and they don't work there.

You've worn shorts and a parka at the same time.

You've had a lengthy phone conversation with someone who dialed a wrong number.

measure distance in hours.

You know several people who have hit a deer more than once.

You have switched from heat to A/C in the same day and back again.

You can drive 90 km's/hr through 2 ft of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching.

You install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked.

You carry jumper cables in the car and your wife knows how to use them.

You design the kids Halloween costumes to fit over a snowsuit.

The speed limit on the highway is 80km--your going 90 and everybody is passing you.

Driving is better in winter because the potholesare filled with snow.

You know all four seasons: almost winter, winter. still winter and construction.

You have more miles on your snowblower than on your car.

You find 2 degrees "a little chilly".

If you actually understand these jokes and send them to all your Canadian friends' then you definitely live in Canada.

I'm not Canadian, but I can relate to most of these, but one stands out that has to be unique to Canada. Down here in the States when you hit a deer the deer is usually dead so you don't get a second chance to hit that deer. Must be some tough deer in Canada.

"You've worn shorts and a parka at the same time."

So true!

Especially when it's warm in the sun, but the wind is chilly in the canoe. Then at the campfire, your knees are hot, but your back is cold. Then in the Boler, if you're on the window side, you might use a parka as an extra blanket while your short-wearing spouse is on the furnace side with the blankets thrown off.

For those of us lucky enough to live on Canada's lovely (and balmy) West Coast , I'm not sure these apply!! But I did my time in Winnipeg, so I know whereof you speak.
LOL
