You might own a fiberglass rv if...

...you measure pizza boxes before ordering.
...people do a double-take when you drive by.
...you spend hours online discussing mods, adapts and inverters.
...you mentally calculate the weight of your groceries.
...you weigh your underwear and socks before packing for vacation.
...you can grab a cold soda from the fridge without leaving your bed or taking your feet off the couch, all while sauting dinner.
...you can camp anywhere, but you and your spouse must take turns standing up.
...you belong to an elite group of savvy travelers who understand that petite is beautiful.

Any more, gang?

a Slide-Out means some kinda road condition that happens on the mountain pass - as you make your way to some out of the way inaccessable destination.

Slide out

I thought a slide-out was what happened when one person is standing in the trailer and a second person tries to exit.

You might own a fiberglassrv if:

...Your toilet is two steps from your bed (and you like that!)

...Your bed is two steps from your toilet (and you like that too!)

...And a refrigerator full of beer is between your bed and toilet!

I mean, what more can a man want?

Everything in your oversized commercial grade country kitchen now fits nicely and neatly into one cabinet.

You wake up and run outside in you sleepwear tape measure in hand ignoring your wife, husband, kids, dog, cat because you had a really cool modification idea in your dreams.

You quietly snicker to yourself when other RV'ers speak of sealing their roofs.

An oooopsie (ok, depending on the oooopsie) with an Elm tree takes a can of bondo, a can of spray paint and 1/2 hour to fix.

You get some sort of weird satisfaction that you can pass other RV'ers while climbing a hill.

EVERYONE asks you what "THAT" is...

You no longer look at items at Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware for their original intended purpose.

There are no longer 4 seasons, just 2... Camping Season and Getting ready/planning for camping season.

IF

...You go camping without planning.

...Your tow vehicle gets 12 to 18 miles per gallon of gas.

...It takes you less than 15 minutes to setup or break camp.

...You look for things to do rather than do things that need done.

...You prepare to show your trailer every time you stop.

... you're smiling when you look in the rearview mirror and your little house skips merrily along behind you in time to the beat of Beaumont Rag from the Deep in the Heart of Texas cd playing. :yep

... you don't go RVing, you go on adventures. Even if they're only two or three days.

... your lightweight escape pod has the strange ability to lift the weight of the world off your shoulders by simply allowing you to step inside.

... your tiny little wonder seems to get larger rather than smaller everytime you go somewhere and stay in it.

You know you are a molded fiberglass trailer addict when you take a camping trip to Yellowstone and come home all excited that you found a new tail light for your Burro.

(Similarities to actual fiberglassrver's are unintentional!)

Ok, so that IS normal! I was beginning to think waking up after a night of dreaming about mods was unusual!

I love the one about looking at hardware items not for their intended purpose.

when the

campground manager says "sorry, we only got one spot left for 20 feet or less" without looking up from his newspaper. And you say no need to appologise!:)

You know you are a fiberglass RV owner when...

You hitch up by picking the trailer tongue up with your bare hands and set it on the ball!! :thumb
