Ok, I'm new to this, so I'm going to post a bit moe info!! Hi, my name is Vicki and I live next to Flathead lake in the northwest corner of Montana, just down the road from Glacier National Park. It's amazing here and camping with my daughter in the summer is something we love to do, but am ready to upgrade to a little camper, for the comfort! My husband works crazy hours in the summer so it's not an option for him to join us, so I'm looking for something small that I can tow behind my Subaru outback. my max price is around $7000 so something used is about my only option. I was looking for a 13 foot scamp that had the bunkbeds in the front, so if my husband ever could join us we would have an option to sleep three, so obviously a toilet and the shower are not an option. An awning is a definite plus, but not needed, AC is a definite plus but definitely not necessary, but a working heater would be needed as the summer months here can have a of a chill at night! It definitely doesn't have to be in perfect condition I'm willing to put in some work to upgrade if things need to be worked on. Willing to travel to pick up the camper! I'm definitely not set on the scamp I know that there's great other small Fiberglass campers out there that would fit the bill as well, so I'm open to other options out there! hope that helps give everybody a little bit more idea what I'm looking for and any leads would be greatly appreciated thanks so much!

I had trouble finding any used FGRVs in our area and certainly found
none that were configured for the kind of light weight that we needed.

Our trailer is not for sale, but resale values of used FGRVs are high
and I suspect that you would not lose much if you purchased a new
Scamp 13 and then later sold it.

In October of 2013, our Scamp was less than $11,000 brand new
and ordered with the light weight configuration that we needed .

If you leave off the bathroom, AC, water heater, furnace, deluxe wood
interior, and awning, you should be able to get close to your desired
weight limit. You can still have lots of lighter weight options (i.e. lights,
110v & 12vdc outlets, etc.) We use an electric space heater for heating
and the 3-spd Fantastic Fan to bring in cooler (night?) air.

We are pretty happy with our Scamp 13 Layout 1 with the 54" bed.

Pictures of our trailer can be found in the later segments of the
following thread:

Good luck with your search!

Vicki, did you find a Scamp? I'm in Reno, NV, and I posted my ad on April 30th. It's in extremely good condition and ready to roll. I have pics I can mail to you but as of right now I am unable to download them as I am having trouble with my Mac. Please let me know, Barbara J.
