AMERIGO Wanted
I'm looking for a 17' or smaller, molded fiberglass, Amerigo Trailer in restorable or better condition. Must be complete as to doors, windows and at least some interior bits and pieces.
I'm in SoCal, but can travel to pick up. Leads are appreciated.

Hi Bob. Here's one in Tennesse. Says it's a 13 footer. Looks bigger to me, so I'm thinking they measured the living space. Looks like a nice one: 1976 13' Amerigo travel trailer | Apison, TN | Fiberglass RV's For Sale

Thanks Donna
Yep, that's a 16' and is exactly the floorplan we want and is almost in to good of condition to do much to it. I have emailed the seller for details.
Trivia of the Day: Yesterday I sold my Sunrader Adventure and am now looking for a Amerigo. Amerigo was the company that Gardner-Pacific bought in 1971 to get the technology to build the Sunrader molded fiberglass slide-in campers that became the Sunrader motorhomes. My Adventure was the last Sunrader built at the Elkhart factory. That said, the Amerigo and the Sunrader are from the same family bush

We could say something similar about the all molded Bigfoot and the monster 'stick built' Bigfoot
Question... sorry for going OT, but do all the Sunraders have pop tops or were there some all solid molded ala Scamp Moho? Just curious.

I remember the Amerigo truck campers, they had a big black window in the front.

About the Sunrader/Amerigo Connection
About 99% of the 6000+ Sunrader motorhomes built between 1978 and 1992 were 18' & 21' molded fiberglass, class "C", mini motorhomes. There were less than 50 19' Sunrader Adventures built between 1986 & 1988. There were also several hundred "Rader" mini motorhomes, that were of sticky built construction built between 1982 & 1984.
Add to that a few towable RV's of stick construction that were also called Sunraders and you have a small part of the confusion that surrounds Mr. Gardners many exploits and explotations in the RV building business.
Almost forgot, there was a non-popup version of the Adventure, that was, basically a 7-8 passenger van, called the "Sunchaser" built in 1984-85. And the list goes on & on & on.
