Planning to cross Canada from west to east in about a month, and urgently looking for a Bonair Oxygen Trailer to buy. I can pick up on the way from any of the three western provinces. Leave a message here or email me directly - kevan (at) akeda (dot) com.

They are rare. Some people hunt for years and never find one or never see one in person. Good luck.

I suggest you buy a lottery ticket then. The odds are better.

I love the looks of the Oxygen. I remember when they were in production (prior to my owning a molded trailer), and I wanted one sooooo bad.

I wish you MUCH success in your hunt

Thanks, great idea, Roy! Bought a lottery ticket today!

Donna, I was at an RV dealer a few years ago when they were blowing them out for CAD$17,000. I almost collapsed... there was a row of half a dozen of them... dealer told me they were being discontinued... one would have been enough, but I couldn't justify it. Wife didn't think it was a good idea to buy one just to look at it... (sigh)

Sugermc, just go to the fiberglassrv home page, take a deep breath and click on "Oxygen". You'll see some images. You'll never be satisfied with a tin trailer ever again.

I'm still convinced I'll find one. Anyone have any leads?

I'm still looking for a Bonair Oxygen, but I found the brochure I picked up in 2002.

It's a single page full colour, and it has very small print, so I had to make a high res scan to make it readable. It has an image of the trailer, a floor plan and all the specs. It's a 2mb file, way beyond the 400K upload limit, so email me kevan (at) akeda (dot) com and I'll forward it to you.

Help! Still looking for one!

Kenneth sent me the brochure and yes, it's too big to load here. But I made a JPG that for those of you that are interested in seeing it.

There is one available right here :
bonair Varennes | LesPAC.com

The guy is asking 14,500$ CDN (he says he is negotiable) but they habitually sell around 10.000$ CDN.

Those trailers were made until 2002 (I think!) exclusively in Quebec by Bonair who was marketing many models, most of them were not fiber glass. They were in a difficult financial situation at that time and decided to launch a "revolutionary" FG model that would save them. They hoped! But their experience in integral fiberglass models was none.

It was a total failure. That model had so many problems (especially delamination) that this has been the last nail to the coffin. They also had at the same time a fire on the production line and opted for bankruptcy. Most of those trailers are located in Quebec. Some come on the market each year and they are sold at a very high non justified price. They should be carefully inspected. People buy them essentially for their "look". You will not find them easily elsewhere and certainly not in Western Canada.
