CA: Anyone Canceling a Factory Order for an Escape 17B or 19?

Looks like I missed the ETI production schedule for 2015.
I'm looking to see if anyone here may have to cancel a factory order, for their 2015 Escape 17B or 19. I'd be willing to discuss taking over the invoice. I may consider an Escape 15B too! Send me a PM.

Thanks Folks,

CharleyT

Good luck with that, Charley. But if you are really serious, put down a deposit and place an order. ETI gets cancellations occasionally, and people have been known to take delivery months in advance of what was expected. I ordered mine last August and while I could have had it in March, I elected to wait for summer weather to cross the Rockies and to enjoy the trip home. Someone else got moved up because of that decision.Let them know you would like to be moved up if possible. As far as taking over an invoice, the beauty of ETI is that they will build you what you want; that's something most other manufacturers will not do. But the key point is that anything worth having is worth waiting for. And you might be wise to post your question on the Escape Owners Community if you haven't done so already. That board is all about Escapes.

Thank you for the input and great advice Carl. I'm certain I will eventually find what I'm looking for. The thrill of the hunt!

Well Folks,

I'm a little disappointed to learn that my bank will not finance a new Trailer directly from ETI

So the hunt is on for a previously loved Escape!

Good luck getting a used RV, more than about 5 years old, bank financed either.
The primary loan source for trailers that aren't bank financeable (meaning most over 5 years old) are HELOC's (Home Equity Line of Credit). Mine is currently at 3.5%, a lot better than any bank will do on a vehicle/RV loan.

Try a Credit Union. Far more flexible, in my experience.

All great advice, thank you.

A HELOC is out of the question in my case. I would shop around for another bank but, it would be hard to beat the great rate and no down payment option I was offered at my bank.

Ask your bank if they will finance it once it is in the country. Then have ETI deliver it across the border to the USA.

No Go, CaptainSteve. Bank requires the dealer to have a USA address.
