Date for Airstream Nest

Maybe someone posted this already and I missed it. Looks like Airstream's new molded fiberglass 16' Nest travel trailer will be available for purchase fall/winter of 2017. (I saw the thread re the acquistion but it's closed)

With that long of a product launch schedule one can only imagine all the changes (good and bad) AS will make to this new product.

I believe AS will miss a lot of the hype this acquisition generated by waiting so long for product introduction with will give the other "Egg" manufacturer's plenty of time to prepare for this new player in their market. With this long of a lead time AS would be smart NOT disclose ANY information on their new "Egg" and introduce the product on a specific launch date with product inventory ready to deliver.

I doubt AS is that smart!

Those folding chairs at the side-by-side dinette look like they will get in the way a lot.

But nice to have a big player in the molded-fiberglass market, I think.

This is just another version of so many already on the market. I really wish someone (besides Bigfoot) would make one that is slightly larger (21-28') than the 13-17' range, that sleeps four people more comfortably, with an interior styled more like this AS and Oliver. I'd buy it. Our two kids are too big to sleep with us but not big enough to feel comfortable all night by themselves in a tent (and some RV parks don't allow tents).
