Did I say that?!
Actually, I'm not sure I *have* one. I took one with my phone on the way home from Winnipeg but I can't figure out how to get it OFF my phone. Annoying!

I dare you then.
Then again, since it now less than 2 months to Xmas and the inevitable repeated screenings of the Canadian classic "A Christmas Story".
I double dare you.

Okay, time for an update. I thought I had made arrangements to go pick up a Compact Jr. this weekend, but I just found out it was sold to someone else in the meantime.
So.... still looking

We just finished our Compact Jr. Redux, and fully understand why they have their avid fans. Debby & I went to visit the Lake Casitas rally this weekend - it was great - but no compacts there.
A tip of the hat to Jim, Carol & all the folks that put it together!

Hi Carol,
Well I did go all the way to Winnipeg to pick up my Boler (and it was made in Winnipeg; hence the reference in my Trailer tag since Bolers were made in many locations); but I'm actually in the mid-Atlantic of the US.
Now, where is my Compact Jr.?

I have one!
I have one, but it is definitely a fixer-upper...completely gutted at present! If you are interested in one that really needs some work, then mine could be good for you.
My biggest question is: this boxy car you speak of, is it a Volvo? I haven't been able to get it out of my head how cute one of these would be with a custom paint job to match a '79 Volvo GT Coupe--silver with orange and black racing stripes! Too bad I can't keep mine.
I put a post on the for sale part of these forums that has more info if you are still interested in getting one.

Hi Moxie, and thanks for the note. Your CJ sounds very much like what I'm looking for.
Yep, I have a Volvo 240 wagon - wouldn't a Compact Jr. just be perfect behind it? My Boler is so cute and round - I love the shape - but I think a Compact Jr. would fit the Volvo square tug better
Even though I love to travel, and with half an excuse would actually traverse the country, it's probably a bit too much in winter, even for me. Darn! I may do some major traveling in early 2011, but not until at least February. I can't imagine you would not have sold your CJ before then. But I so appreciate your posting here in my thread.
Anyone closer?
Raya
PS: Those GT models are pretty spiffy! I'm more of a wagon gal though.

Oh, I wouldn't expect you to come all the way out here! Sorry, I should have explained--I will have it in New York mid January and can bring it to you. Keep in mind it needs some serious work--I had some really cool ideas for it, but also had the benefit of living in the company of some really cool industrial designers in San Francisco a few years ago who taught me all about working with and repairing fiberglass, resin casting, small care fabrication and do's and don'ts with RTV and silicone, lol. I would be totally up to it if I was going to still have room for the project, but others may not, and I understand if you are one of them. It's a bit more than just a simple fixer-upper, so I'd understand!

Hmm, well now you have piqued my interest! New York is not that far away, and/or there might even be some closer points along the way, depending on your route (Pennsylvania, or....).
I'll send you a PM okay? Thanks!
Raya
