Front Kitchen Surfside, Compact Jr. or II or Campster

We're looking for a small, light trailer with a bed that doesn't have the crawl-over problem (needs to run longways). Prefer shell, frame in decent shape. Not so picky about other stuff like sink, stove, furnace, etc. In northwest Washington, but willing to travel to fetch the right one. Thanks.

We have the Compact II . The bed runs side to side and you have to crawl over
The Compact Jr does have fore and aft bed.

Happy hunting!

Compact Jr bed is not all "peaches & cream".....

Hi Rebecca

The north/south bed in the Compact Jr alleviates some of the climbing over your partner to get out of the sack.

But climbing out of bed at the foot of the bed is a hassle too.

And there is a wall at the foot of the bed on the two sides so you have to get out at the center of the bed which will still involve a little "partner rolling".

One feature the Compact has over other "eggs" in my opinion though are the three windows surrounding the bed/dinette area that offer lots of daylight.

What trailer is that not the case with?

I know that the same could be said for all my Trilliums, Bolers, I think event Bigfoots' have a dinette / bed that has three windows that surround it.

Perhaps I misunderstand your meaning.

I could have been clearer.....

Hi Dave

you are right, just about all dinettes have 3 windows. but I think the Compact windows are bigger and the pop top windows also contribute to a feeling of more light.

The top two photos are of Compact Jr's and the bottom two are more typical for Scamp-type campers.

Front Kitchen?

Hi again Joe- saw your ad from last May, but that looks to be a side kitchen model. You have another one to sell now with front kitchen?

Still looking

Melissa's trailer is completely cute and looks to be in great shape, but we've decided to narrow our wish list to a trailer with a north/south bed, which means the Compact IIs are out. Need a compact Jr, a campster or a surfside front kitchen, I think. Thanks, all.
