hunter compact

My name is tim and i have been stalking y'all for awhile. I live in Northeast Texas. I am waiting patiently for a hunter compact 2 to come up for sale fairly close to home. I am prepared to pounce when the opportunity arises. I even got my list on equipment need to pick up the trailer. Thanks to the input of your members. I am so impressed with the willingness to help and the respectfulness of your members. Y'all keep me in mind when something comes up. I know i will have to travel some distance when the opportunity arises. thanks again. Packdaddy

Have you seen Ricks? It is a Junior - I'm not familiar with the difference.
Sad to see that he is letting it go.
It may be a bit far but I know another member that is in MI that travels down to TX that might be able to tow it down for you. Let me know if that helps.

Welcome to the Group Tim
Maybe a few q's what will help in your search:

1. How far are you willing to travel. There's a lot of land between Hunters in general, and the further east you go, the wider that distance seems to become. I had to travel almost 1000 miles round trip for mine. and I am but 60 miles from where they were all built. Finding one "Close to Home" may limit your search a lot.

2. What condition/price range do you want - need. There is a wide range between Project and Turn-Key.

3. Have you been following here, under "Others": Molded Fiberglass Trailers | Fiberglass RV's For Sale

Also, be sure that there is a set of magnetic tow lights in that go box, unless it's in the latter condition, the chances of the tail/turn/stop lights working are nil to none.

Heres a link to pics of mine: Robert Miller's (advocateone)'s Library | Photobucket

Good Luck Hunting.....

Thanks for the input. I would travel maybe 6 or 7 hundred miles round trip. I would have to kick the tires before I would purchase. I have a list (magnetic lights, mirrors, duct tape, etc) so I can respond quickly. Again, reading what you guys (and gals,Donna) have mentioned. I would like to find one that isn't a basket case. One that was cared for. It can need to be needed an update. I am somewhat a handy man so it would nice to play with it. Bob, I have followed your rig and and your expertise . I will be towing with a toyota tacoma regular cab, 4cyc. 5speed.
