Why can't you tow a deluxe?

My car can only tow 1750 and the deluxe is right in that gray area, it would be too much on my car :/

I'm not sure about Scamp, but published dry weights are usually for basic trailers, before options (A/C would be one of the heavy ones), not to mention any cargo/food/clothing you put inside it. This thread
Trailer Weights in the Real World
was an attempt to get real world info on what trailers weigh, as taken down the road, and post #297 links to a spreadsheet you might find useful.

Haven't put it on the scales since the upgrades..best guess dry would be around 1500. Towed it early on with a 2016 Subaru Forester. No problems. No AC (extra weight and live in the NW). New custom Fantastic Fan with a flat lid to fit in the garage easier. New lid on the escape hatch.
