Looking for 13' Travel Trailer in/near WI

My wife and I are ready to set out on a cross country adventure and are looking for a 13' travel trailer to call home for the two of us and our dog for the next 6-8 months. Both of us are new to the travel trailer scene and looking for something reliable with minimal work to get on the road. Any and all opportunities and/or advice are greatly appreciated.

I strongly suggest looking at several before buying, esp. if you are thinking a 13'er with a front bath, they can get kinds small inside very fast when full timing.

As is always asked so that additional help can be offered:

1. How much of your own work can you do/want to do?
2. What will you be towing with
3. How far can you travel to look/buy
and the biggie
4. What kind of a budget are you working with...

Thanks for the responses. We actually found one and are going to pick it up tonight. I am unsure how to delete the post though.

Bob:
1. I would say minimal to both.
2. 2013 Subaru Forrester - 4 cylinder
3. Found it about 3 hours from here

Being new to FGRV's I suggest that you be very careful... there are a lot of pits to fall into when buying a used one. A few
1. Refrigerators/// LP refrigerators are, basically not repairable, "needs recharging" isn't possible and new one cost over $800 Have the seller have it operating for at least 4 hours before you see it.
2. Tires age out before wearing out, 6 years is max life, there is a date on the tires sidewall
3. Torsion axles settle, if the trailer is riding low it can't "Be Adjusted", new axles are $$$$$
4. "We never used that" is sellers code for "It doesn't work"
5. Be sure everything works before you pay....

Good Luck

Watch out for soft / rotten floors, rotten hinge pillars (sagging doors), cracked frames, especially where the body meets the frame at the front.

Good day Erik. There are some nice 13's around. What will you be using for a tow vehicle?
