Help! My kids are all leaving home and I don't want to quit camping/traveling! But I've camped by myself once (with my dog) and I feel just a little exposed in a tent. I've been lurking on egg sites for awhile and I think what I need is a 13' Casita/Scamp/U-Haul/Burro/etc., but if a 16 or 17' comes along I'd sure like to have a look. I'm going to the gathering at San Antonio Lake this weekend just to talk to people, gather information, and have a look at their trailers. I live in CA, but might be able to check out an egg in a neighboring state. Don't have a lot of money, but enough for an older one. Thanks for your help!

Hi, Lisa, you sound like a kindred spirit. I live 3/4 of the year in Fresno, and just bought my first egg (which I have not seen, as it is still up in Washington.) I intend to camp with my dogs at agility trials and also other times.

Your first egg? How exciting! I can't wait!

My brother lives in Washingon in some little town 45 minutes NW of Vancouver. He has an RV and sailboat and fixes up, sells and races Mini Coopers (the old ones shipped over from England). If a trailer turns up in that area I can get him to take a look at it as he knows WAY more than I ever will. I just hope I don't buy one with big problems since I don't really know what I'm doing. I just keep listening to people, asking questions, and gathering information.

My neighbor does agility trials with her boxer. My dog is useless for anything except barking and sniffing and being there when you need a friend. She's retriever/german shepherd/husky. Oh, and she can look scary and threatening when needed. Important for a single woman on her own. What dogs do you have?

Four corgis and a Lab. Three of the corgis do agility.
