Looking for Bigfoot fifth wheel

We are searching for a Bigfoot fifth wheel any year. I know they only made them up until about 2007. An older eighties Bigfoot would be fine also. We live in Michigan but would be willing to travel wear ever needed. We are newly retired and are trying to avoid a stick built.

Did they make them that long? I've never seen one newer than mid-90's but all that really means is that I've never seen one newer than mid-90's...

Pretty old but as of October it was still around. Kind of surprising.

Welcome to the forum.

Bigfoot made single and double axle model fifth wheel trailers. They are rare. The only ones I have seen are mid 90's vintage. The FW26 is even more rare because it is not a 2 piece molded fiberglass trailer. It is the "Fibercore" construction with flat panel sides. I was considering looking for one for myself. They are very nice, but I really like my Toyota Tacoma and I feel a Bigfoot fifth wheel trailer requires a full size pick up, so this plan is on hold for now. If I could find a 2 piece molded double axle model, I would consider buying it.

1988 5er with lifted tandem axles

My husband and I have a very clean 5th wheel Bigfoot with tandem axles that we may consider selling. It's not actually for sale, so I don't have an ad or info lined up, just saw your post. We haven't used it in a year and have moved on from camping, it's a waste that it is sitting.

New tankless water heater.
New solar with dual batteries.
New thermostat controlled fantastic fan.
Sealed the roof last year.
It had turned axles, but wasn't high enough for our 4x4, so we had it blocked and raised professionally to sit level.

We have $5000 in receipts from the last year or two, making it real nice.

Of course it has all the usual 5er floor plan and appliances, new upholstery and curtains, everything works, very clean. No a/c. Hubby is not home right now, I am not sure how much to even ask for our little gem. We love it dearly, just aren't using it and need $$ for my recent surgery. We are near Sacramento, CA.

I could add some pics if Tom says we can sell it, if you are interested.

Dawn

I gotta say, the Bigfoot 5th wheel has got to be the nicest molded fiberglass trailer out there in terms of space for those not looking for a giant 25' trailer. Super spacious, and still somehow pretty compact. Of course the escape 5.0 is nice, too. But man.

I'm in the same boat as Jack. Not willing to go full size (yet), and I like having a topper on my truck.

I called Bigfoot in Canada. That's what the lady said . I think she may have been mistaken. The newest anyone has seen is 90's.

The nice thing about the Bigfoot is you can find a used one at a reasonable price. Wear as the Escape 5.0 is to new a model to get a decent discount for age. The Escape is nice but not very wide.

I agree.

Full size truck should do it. Not sure what the tongue weight tends to be on these things. Or whatever it's called with a 5th wheel.
