Looking for Fiberglass RV in Wyoming

We're looking for a small easy to pull RV. We have looked at pop-up trailers such as an Aliner. (We prefer a hard-sided camper rather than a tent type.) We're not familiar with fiberglass RV's and there don't seem to be many available in our area (northeast Wyoming) to even look at. We'd like a smaller RV, possibly with a shower and toilet. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Bill, welcome to FiberglassRV. As you've found, the focus of this forum is molded lightweight travel trailers. You'll find few discussions about tent trailers and the like, unless it's from people trying to sell and upgrade.

The first question we typically ask newbies, is what is the tow weight of your vehicle. This information is needed to "steer" you in the direction of brands that may fit your vehicle tow needs.

We have a Toyota Sienna van and a Tacoma pickup. They each have a towing capacity of 3500 lbs, but based on work trailers I've pulled, I'd like to keep the weight below 1500 lbs and closer to 1100 lbs if possible. We're looking for a small basic trailer and might even consider one without a shower and toilet. Lately our camping has involved sleeping in the back of a pick-up. We've only recently become aware of molded lightweight trailers and there aren't any dealers in our area, so we don't really know what's out there. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well you have what I consider the best brand of tow vehicle, Toyota, I pull my 13' boler with a 1993 p/u with the 22r 5 speed and it does fine.

There is a molded trailer manufacturer in Colorado. Maybe the Pelsue would fit your needs. The manufacturer was once a member here, we haven't seen them around for a while. You still may find it worth checking into: Vehicles - Pelsue This may look like only a construction trailer. It is not. There's also the Little Joe and Ponderosa from this same look alike mold: Lightweight Trailers - Compact Travel Campers - Weiscraft Trailers
