Looking for replacement parts Cadet

Hi
I am looking for a replacement front window for my 1984 Cadet. It is the operational window- front or back. Any ideas? Or has someone replaced this window with another kind? I could use advise or links to someone who sells replacement parts. Thanks

Trailers are not like cars, their are no parts available. Their are parts that might come from many places. IS THE CADET A MOLDED FIBERGLASS TRAILER?

Welcome Patricia.
We have several members with Cadets and from what I can gather it is almost
impossible to get another front window and lots of them seem to be broken. I think I maybe heard you can still get them from Poland but I am sure it would be pricey.
I am sure someone else with a Cadet may chime in.

Thnks for the prompt response

Hi,
Thanks for the info. I was sure that finding a replacement window would be a tough go. I am still hopeful though. I guess my next option is to see what the company in Poland has to offer. Has anyone ordered from there? I was more concerned ( for now ) if it is worth the effort. More so international duties and customs concerns. The price is a concern but first things first.

In reply to the other question. Yes it is a molded fiberglass shell. We completely gutted it and redid the walls in cloth again but this time the cloth is backed with insulating foam. Similar to the material used beneath floating floor systems. The results were great, It has been 4 years since the renovation and we are still very happy. We took the old material out very carefully and I reproduced each panel with piping at all the seams so that I can replace any of the panels if they get damaged. It takes nothing to heat the interior on cold nights. I was also fortunate in having the complete exterior room that attaches to the outside rail. It doubles the living space for long stays and we eliminated the stove inside. So now it is a bed on wheels- ( with a few extras.)

I am still hopeful that someone out there has some ideas for the window replacement.
Thanks again for your input.

Hi Patricia, those of us that have been around for awhile know about the Cadet. You are in for some issues when it comes to that front window. As far as I know (and I've been known to be wrong), if you want a perfect fit plexi window shaped for the Cadet... it has to come from Europe. We're talking big bucks... I can point you to some archived threads if you're interested. Otherwise, put your thinking cap on and think about what will work for you...

This company makes windows. They may be able to do something for you. I would think you would be making a window from scratch and wont be cheap.
My guess you would be pulling whats left to send to them to see what they can do.

I just thought I can mention that new windows for the Cadet can be bought from an on-line shop in Germany.

Fenster, Scheiben - PREDOM Deutschalnd

The website is in German, but the owner speaks English. One has to contact him for getting a shipping quote abroad.
