Looking for small trailer

Trying to find a small lightweight trailer to tow behind my Outback - do not care what kind of condition it is in (as long as it is towable) but do care about price. My husband works around the country, staying in one place for 6+ months. I am in Florida but travel to see him once a month or so with two dogs and am tired of nasty motel rooms. Need something safe to spend the night in at campgrounds between here and there. I have remodeled houses and would love to take on a project of refurbishing a little trailer to make it mine. If you have or know of anything please contact me.

Thanks
Georgia

A glass egg would be ideal for your needs. Hope you find one with good bones so your refurb project goes smoothly.

Before you start looking any further, check the towing specifications for your Outback. Some have fairly low towing limits and many have an unusually low tongue limit.

There is a listing of "Real World Weights" of FGRV's in the general chat section that will give you an idea of what can and that shouldn't be towed with your Outback.

Also keep in mind that refurbishing can get very time consuming as well as expensive. Buy the best you can afford up front and you will usually save money and time.

And Last: Follow the for sale listings here as well as at "fiberglass-rv-4sale.com", but ask lots of questions before you buy, there are a lot of pitfalls in FGRV's to look out for out there.

Just a tip
When you put up an ad, if your location isn't showing in your name panel, be sure to put it in your post. It's a BIG country and not every one lives in SC (?)

Hello,
Did you find your trailer yet? We have a 2000 17' Casita SD here in Florida. Very comfortable with a bath and side dinette. Not sure if too big for your Outback.
Best, Sue

But again, it's all about actual trailer weights and manufacturers towing/hitch limits.
We have one Subaru owner who recently reported higher repair bills from towing over weight limits.
