Darin, welcome to the forum!
Expect to pay upwards of (closer to) the $3000 end of your value spectrum (although some beaters are out there), there are some members of this group that buy, pretty up and then sell glass trailers (some in Vancouver Metropolis area too, ) so keep checking the For Sale page in this site!!

Welcome Darin,
We spent a number of months recently looking in the Lower Mainland & Island area for a FG trailer as well. In addition to checking the For Sale section on this Form daily, we checked the Buy and Sell and all the Craigs Lists within a days drive of us every morning. Our experence was if you see one listed at a fair price you need to *act fast*. We found many of the trailers listed on Craigs were gone on the same day they were listed. You may need to put something down on one to hold if its going to be more than half a day or so before you can actually get to go see it. Be sure to ask the seller lots of questions and get e-mailed photo's if that's the case.

As Doug mentioned you can expect to pay closer to the $3000 than $1000 unless you are lucky enough to find a one in need of work and hiding out in the back of a farmers field in the valley. I would not hold my breath on that happening though. We ended up picking ours up across the line, but as your after a Boler you should have an easier time finding one on this side of the border. If you decide to do some cross border shopping for something other than a Boler feel free to contact me and I would be happy to fill you in on how to do it. It's a fairly painless process.

Good luck in your hunt!

Carol
