Hi Andrea, to FiberglassRV, we're glad you're here

There are lots of kind and helpful people here on the forums. We're always glad to help.

Along with the member For Sale forum and Referrals here on FiberglassRV, keep an eye on Molded Fiberglass Trailers | Fiberglass RV's For Sale

Are you particularly in love with a Scamp or are you open to other brands of 13' all molded towables? There are several to choose from!

I suppose that Love is hard to explain, but maybe you can tell us why your cut-off is at 2004 and, just to give a hint; what are your needs in term of condition and your approximate budget ???

Oh, and just so some of us can fuss about it, what will you be towing with?

Bob is right, why the cut off date? In the sticky world, something less than ten years old is desirable, older than that and they're often mush. But, in the all molded world the year of build has a WHOLE lot less to do with quality than maintenance. For instance, I'd stack my 1988 trailer (well maintained) up against any 2004 trailer that hasn't been maintained well.

Besides, in the Scamp world the moulds changed after the Jan. 2006 fire (taller). So the 2004-2005 years would be the old mould.

Andrea, can you tell us more?

Andrea, download from the Document Center the Buyer's Checklist, print it out and take it with you whenever you go to look at any brand of trailer. It will really help you with inspections and questions to ask.

Generally means that it has a fresh water tank, and gray and black water waste tanks. Gray water is waste from a sink or shower. Black water comes from a toilet.

Very few 13' Scamps will meet that definition, most lack both a black and a gray tank. Ditto for most other 13' FGRV's as well.

Definition of holding tanks in most 13' FGRV's

Gray = 5 gallon bucket on ground next to trailer
Black = Bottom 1/2 of a porta-potty

I just listed a 2014 13 foot Scamp today (for sale marketplace on this site), if you are interested in a brand new one.
