Smile Ready To Buy

I am looking for a gently used 17ft or 19ft Escape or BigFoot.
I am located in Alberta, but will travel to B.C., Saskatchewan, or Manitoba.

If you have not already done so sign up on the Escape forum - many of the Escape trailers that are resold are listed there and no place else. Be ready to move fast if you see one your interested in though - not uncommon for them to sell in a day or so.

its your lucky day there is Currently a 19' for sale in Vancouver -

Another spot to keep watching if you have not already found it is Fiberglass-rv-4sale.com Better chance of finding a Bigfoot listed there than an Escape though.

Thanks Carol, I joined the Escape forum yesterday, and the Fiberglass rv 4 sale forum last week.
I saw the 2012 Escape in Vancouver. I would love to snap it up, alas it's a bit out of my price range. I'm looking for something seven or eight years older.

You may have a tough time finding a 19' of that age as there may not be all that many as they only started to make them in about 2009 as I recall.

Did you see the party in the same sales ad who indicated they had a 17' they were wishing to trade? Perhaps if you PM them they might be willing to just sell it.

Yes, I did see the trade comment and the same thing crossed my mind.
Unfortunately, the 17ft for trade is a 2013. I'm thinking it will still be rather pricey. I suppose it can't hurt to ask, though.

Don't give up. Often the best deals can be found in the dead of winter! Particularly if the trailer is sitting in North BC or in Alberta.

Just keep watching the forum and sales ads daily!

Success! I found a 1984 BigFoot 17.5ft in great shape. The seller is the original owner!

God willing, I will be picking it up this Tuesday.

As we say here in Alberta, YEE HAW!

Ready To Buy

Congratulations!

Just an FYI... the 17.5' designation refers to newer 2500 series units introduced in the mid-2000's. Yours is considered a 17'.

I've never been clear whether the new ones really grew 6", or this is just a labeling distinction.
