Scamp 5th wheel or Escape 5.0 or other small 5th?

Carol, The only thing we don't like about the Escape 5th wheel is the refrigerator which sits right next to the bed. That may be a problem for us. If there's any small noises which sometimes come from refrigerators, it would be right there next to us as we are sleeping. Too bad it's not set up in a different area but then there's the weight distribution...so I guess it's there for a reason. Also, we do like the small "couch" seating area in the Scamp 5.0 with the bathroom on the side. Is there any good site with links to photos of the Escape 5.0 interior? The Escape website doesn't have many photos!

Just for your info. We have a 1996 scamp 5th wheel and a 2007 gmc 4x4. Crew cab. We did have a welder add 6 inches of lift 2- 3" blocks. Over the axel. 15" tires also And it tows level with our truck and tows great. We averaged 14.5 mpg on a 5,000 mile trip to Yellowstone.

Hi: Robert and Laura...Here's a couple of pic's of our 5.0. The queen bed in the front loft is as far away from the fridge as poss. in a 19.5 'er. Also the evaporator fridges are silent...no compressor.
We have owned the Escape for 5 seasons now and won't have it any other way. Our daughter who doesn't drive usually has one trip away with us and uses the dinette made into a bed with a shower curtain rod and curtain for privacy. She sleeps next to the fridge.
