Homer Alaska is beautiful. You can camp out on the spit.

I certainly did! Drove through the night from Indy to upper MN, got there just before 10 AM on Thursday. It's a 94 in excellent shape, with the Full Custom all wood interior (light colored, birch, maybe maple) as well as a factory custom screen door. There's a mini-sink in the bathroom/shower and the front closet has been modified with a built-in microwave.

I took it for a quick test drive and my 2000 Honda CR-V pulls it with no issues other than the fact that fuel mileage drops to about 17 mpg. Drove back the same day which meant that I a) was awake for about 32 hours, 24 of them spent sitting in the car and b) had to drive through the Chicago evening rush hour.

Roads up there are terrible, but I had no problem with sway. There was a little porpoising over really nasty bumps, but quickly damped. The brake controller was NECCESSARY for this car/trailer combination and functioned flawlessly. On the entire 1400 mile drive I saw not a single other eggy on the road, but I got a lot of grins from loaded up SUVs passing me.

Overall I am thrilled. It was right in my budget ($7K) and that fact that it's a full custom interior is a HUGE bonus. With that and the great condition factored in I think I got a steal. I will post pictures and introductory info on myself in the "Hi, I am..." forum sometime this weekend.

Thanks for asking!

Jeff

Now you should come to Brown County for the rally in October.

Greg, I will if I'm in Indiana at the time. My current plan is to leave on a cross-country around 9/10. I'll spend about a week enroute, then stop in Castaic, CA to reconnect with an old girlfriend. After that, down to San Diego to spend a week or two with family. If things go well with the ex-gf I'll go back up to Castaic for another week, then spend a week on the trip back to Indy.

If I keep to that schedule I'll be back just in time for the eggmeet.

Jeff
