Scamp Me!
Hi all.
I am in the market for a Scamp 16' trailer. I'm specifically looking for layout 6, with the side dinette and front bath/shower. Ideally it will have furnace and air conditioner already.
My budget is somewhat limited so if you have a 2005 or later its likely to be a little too rich for my blood. A 1998-2002 would be perfect.
I'm in Indianapolis, but am willing to travel up to 1,000 miles for the right Scamp. This will be a cash deal and I do expect clear title.
My 2000 Honda CR-V is lonely and needs a friend to play with. Won't you help?

Hurry up and find your egg and you can bring it down to Brown County in October.

Bill -
Good call. I had previously contacted the first referral you gave me, but he's asking $8,250 for a $6,500 trailer.
The second one is PERFECT and I've called and left a message. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Yep, around 700 miles from here. I don't care, it's perfect for me. I called and left a 2nd message offering to purchase for asking price, subject to confirmation of condition. No callback yet. I'm getting antsy.....me want!

Jeff,
I so hope you can get what you want. It feels good being able to help a little
Kevin,
Thanks for all your follow up information. These are my first few posts - any recommendations from you on how to do things better, or avoid common no-no's, would be greatly appreciated.

Yay Me!
The gentleman called back, the price is agreeable, and I'll be driving up Thursday (actually Wednesday night) to view, purchase and bring it home!
Bill, should I see you at one of the eggfolk gatherings, the hot dogs (or seafood, see below) are on me!
The image below will be my new trailer's name and identity...if anyone else would like a custom design for their trailer, let me know. This picture will be printed onto outdoor-grade transparent adhesive-backed polyester, then hand-trimmed. I'll likely scatter a few more shrimps and garlic around too.

Woohoo!
I'll take you up on that hot dog. I'm hoping to visit a rally so I can see a scamp in person. I'm probably a year away from buying. Till then I am happy to live vicariously through those who have one.
Have a safe trip up and please post some pics.
