Searching for an egg trailer 16' or larger in area up to 5 hours from Syracuse, NY

We are searching for a fiberglass molded trailer, any brands is welcome that is 16' or larger. We prefer to purchase anywhere in the 5 hours driving distance radius from Syracuse, NY (EXcluding Canada). We also like to have the trailer already remodelled or well taken care of. NO gutted trailers to be sold as is will be accepted. MUST have bathroom! Can take 5th Wheeler because we have the pickup truck that can haul 5000 lbs limit.

If the appearance inside was really different and unique, we would like that! But if not, no worries, since we can do decor inside ourselves but again, no gutted trailers please!

One thing to note, we prefer 1983 or newer and in the 3,000 to 5,500 Dollars price range. We wanted well insulated but any of those trailers are fine. We can accept Big Foot, Boler, Burro, Horizon (wanted one from Pa but it was sold. Oh well). We also can accept Trillium, Scamp, Uhaul, Lil Suzzy (sp), Casita, Trillium Outback, EggCamper and ParkLiner as well as Oxygen Any other brands we did not list, they are fine too. Even Airstream are accepted too.

Please replay in message or here in forum. Thank you!

Chuck, yessss. Thank you. I already knew abou the other site ever since last year!

That is where we wanted one of the trailers but it was sold so quickly. And three others they never responded back after a few attempts. There is one but we felt it cost too much (the 19' foot Scamp from Cortland (Syracuse), NY.

Oh well!

Mark

UPDATE; We just bought our Scamp! It is not exactly what we wanted--has no bathroom but it is great investment because it is almost new and it was in the 5 hours driving radius. It was merely 4 hours driving distance. We just bought a 2005 Scamp Trailer that is 13', has no bathroom, looks new inside. nice.

Will still be looking for the one with bathroom and we can trade or sell our Scamp for the one with bathroom in this 5 hours radius or at rallies in the 5 hours as well. Thank you!

What... you think Portland, Oregon is far? I'm just excited for you and Tara... now go out and make a whole bunch of lifetime memories

And, don't forget to take pictures and keep a journal. It will get you through the non-camping months... or even into old age, when you're know longer camping

Donna. Portland, Oregon IS far. Hahha. Thanks!

Donna, here is the secret how we got ours. We focused on the three that were for sale. The 19' footer Scamp 40 mins from us, the 13' Scamp near NYC and the one in NJ merely an hour from the one from NYC. We planned on driving for all three in same day. YES, in person all in one day!

That we discovered really worked. We saw the 19' foot Scamp first on way South at 10 AM. It was nice but my wife slipped on the steps inside of the 5th Wheeler. She has a bruise as of yesterday (today is Tuesday). She blamed on the narrow stairs. We did not like that. It was a bit difficult for us. The price was a bit high for us. So, then we thanked the owner and left for area--30 mins drive north of NYC. Nice people, well demostration on everything, no 5th wheeler. Just the 13 foot. I wanted bathroom but we both like the newness and it really does look good so we decided to buy it right on the spot because the owner said he has many interested in the trailer. The one in 40 mins from us even said same thing. The first one that is 40 mins from us said a man from British Columbia wants to buy it and haul it back to B.C.

Since we bought our Scamp around 2-3PM same day, we decided to head back skipping the Jersey one.

We will get it this week because of DMV and rest of cash to pay off. We secured with 500 Dollars. So, now we know how to do it! That is why we prefer locally, Donna. We want to see it in person and get it right there.

The 19 Foot Scamp 5er has a bathroom but the stairs.. its like you have to squeeze in the stairs. We see it is a design flaw. That is why I designed mine much better. OOPS! Can't tell ya what I designed! Hahaha.

You will see pictures soon enough.
