Seeking 13' w/shower

Hi there, I'm looking for a lightweight 13 footer with a shower (Scamp, Casita, etc.); must be less than 1500 lbs dry. I'm in NoVa and willing to travel for pickup. Pics helpful. Thanks!

Welcome! Have you been checking Fiberglass-rv-4sale.com

I'm afraid you may find it pretty hard to find a 13' Scamp or Casita with a bathroom that weighs much under 1500lbs dry. Have you taken a look a the thread Trailer Weights in the Real World to see weights of trailers loaded up for camping at a meet.

Three Points:

1. 1500 lbs dry weight is of little import if your vehicles tow rating is also 1500 lbs. It looks like you have to add at least 500-750 lbs to almost all dry weights to get actual tow rates. Our previous 13 Scamp with front bath, but no shower, was always over 1500 lbs ready to go.

2. Be careful what you wish for. If you haven't experienced a 13' FGRV with a bath/shower you should do so before buying. The 13' Scamp is very, very tight inside with the front bath. In short, with the dinette made into a bed, there is nowhere else to be at if not in bed. The single reason we sold our Scamp w/front bath (and bought a 13' BigFoot) was lack of space.

3. If I had to have that bath/shower I wouldn't look at anything smaller than a 16', but that's just me....
