Hi Everyone,

We are avid hikers/campers looking for our dream home on the road.
Our tow vehicle would be a Nissan Frontier V-6 4 x 4 with 6,100lbs. max towing capacity. We need a double bed for two adults to comfortably share.

We thought we wanted a 17CB Bigfoot, but unless we could modify it to have a double bed sized sleeping area (without losing the bathroom--still waiting to hear from anyone who has done this), we will have to get an Escape 17' Plan B, an 19' Escape 5.0, or a Casita 16' or 17' Spirit Deluxe.

We cannot do a 21' Bigfoot because it's too wide to fit in our driveway.

We'd also consider a Scamp fifth wheel IF the axle and suspension and overall unit would hold up to being taken on washboard, rutted dirt roads (the RV Consumer group ratings suggest that the Scamp would not hold up well for "rv trekking," but we'd love to hear what Scamp owners have to say on that subject).

We are willing to travel a reasonable distance (i.e. CA, Utah and possibly farther) to get a trailer that has been very well-kept up (and loved) home with us.

Even if you own but are not selling one of these models and live in Arizona, we would be most appreciative if you would let us take a look at yours!

Thanks!

Val in Phoenix, AZ

Okay Folks,

After seeing the photos of Herman's gorgeous 19' Bigfoot Travel Trailer (which some lucky ducky bought before we even had a chance to make an offer), we are putting the word out that we would like to find one like it--note this is a Travel Trailer, not a fifth wheel, and apparently the molds were also destroyed in the 94 fire.

Thanks for passing the word along if you find one. We are looking to buy in the next 2-3 months and will be coming to the Rally to see what others have and to view the Escapes and meet Reace in person.

Update: We are picking up our 1988 19' Bigfoot from Vancouver Island the first weekend of August.
