ultralight travel trailer

Hi, Wayne!

That's going to limit you to a very basic 13'er and you'll still need to pack carefully. See the sticky thread Trailer Weights in the Real World in the General Chat section for some good information about actual loaded-for-camping weights. Assuming you have a smaller tow vehicle, brakes on the trailer are going to be essential, and not all of the smallest trailers have them.

You may want to broaden your search radius beyond Arizona. In general, the smallest eggs sell really fast if they're in good shape and fairly priced. I'd check Phoenix, Tucson, Albuquerque, Flagstaff, and Las Vegas Craigslist frequently, in addition to monitoring this site, eBay, and fiberglass-rv-4sale.com. Do you have a budget in mind?

Good luck in your hunt!

Or you may have to look into popup campers.

I think that the Scamp 13 is probably one of the lightest of the FGRVs.
If you leave off the bathroom, AC, water heater, furnace, deluxe wood
interior, and awning, you should be able to get close to your desired
weight limit. You can still have lots of lighter weight options (i.e. lights,
110v & 12vdc outlets, etc.) We are pretty happy with our Scamp 13
Layout 1 with the 54" bed.

Pictures of our trailer can be found in the later segments of the
following thread:

Scamp Full Size Bed = Smaller Table Size

If you need to get a lower weight than a Scamp 13, then your choices
may be one of the teardrop trailers or a small pop-up.

Out of curiosity, what is your tow vehicle?

The Hunter Compact or Weiscraft Little Joe would be in that weight range, too. In addition to the possibility that someone from this forum might have one to sell, keep your eye on the local Craigslist and on this site: http://www.fiberglass-rv-4sale.com/m...glass-trailers .
