Wanted: 13-15 ft Unit. Prefer Beachcomber or Surfside, Open to any Mfr, Though

I am in the market for a 13-15 foot fiberglass trailer and would prefer one of the boxier shapes, such as a Beachcomber or Surfside, although I'm open to any manufacturer.

I'd like to customize the interior for use as a backcountry mountain bike base camp (along the same line as The Egg Plant's Lovebug) and the boxier shapes seems as though they would be easier to work with when building custom cabinetry.

I am in Colorado but would be willing to travel for the right unit.

I am open to trailers in any condition.

Thanks in advance for any leads or opportunities.

Ben

We have a Ventura available in Saskatchewan. It is a boxy shape and would enjoy a good facelift. There is no water tank and we don't know anything about the plumbing. All the other systems work - both types of electricity, three way fridge, furnace, stove top, front bunk parts are complete.

Want to take a look or make an offer?

Hi Hazel,

Do you have a link to photos of your camper?

Here are a few basic shots for you to see. This 'baby' is a bit different from most of the other small fibreglass camper brands. It is mostly straight sided and the interior isn't moulded FB but has wooden framed cupboards, bed frames and such like. Excellent for a complete interior redesign to suit individual needs.

There is a wooden storage box on the back and a battery and propane tank on the front hitch.

Still searching. Would also love a Trillium 4500.

Did you see the Trillum for sale in Colorado?

Or how about the rather rare find of a very nice 15' Escape in Washington.

I'd love that Escape, but it is more than what I'm looking to spend for my first camper.

I did see the 1300 for sale in Colorado. I haven't ruled it out entirely, but (to me) it looks like it needs to be gutted and the price is on the high side for a project of that nature.

Yea, a lot of trouble that one is. (in Yoda's voice)

The other end of the spectrum.

It is not close to you though, and in Canada to boot.
But wow, I usually don't like owner mods, but this one looks to be done right. This unit was for sale last year as well.
From the ad:
The camper been all renew one or 2 years ago and lots of upgrades.
Clearly this owner did not do the mods. My guess is he paid too much for it and discovered he is not so fond of camping.

My current observation is that the 1977 Trillium 4500's seemed to have the smaller fridge, with the square kitchen that comes with it.

Also check out this one:
QU (Canada) - 1978 - Trillium 4500 - $4000

Thank you, Linda. I just called the owner. Unfortunately, it's already gone. I appreciate you thinking of me.

I bought a 76" Beachcomber B15 from this lady yesterday...

...and she has a couple Surfside trailers in her yard right now. I'm pretty pleased with what I purchased, and feel that it was a fair deal. Her name is Donna, she's located in Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada (just NE of Winnipeg), her phone number is 1(204)485-1445. Good luck, I hope that you find what you seek!

Just saw a Surfside T14 at Can-Am RV on Hwy #1 W before Headingly. One of the salesmen is selling in privately for his son. On July 13 he was asking $3600. Pretty much original. Table/bed at one end. Bunks at other. Kitchen against wall.
