Wanted 13' Trillium or Boler in BC

Hi I am hoping to purchase my first fiberglass RV and with some researching am hoping that I can find a Trillium or Boler. I drive a Toyota Matrix with a towing capacity of 1500 lbs. I am open to any suggestions or help on any other lightweight fiberglass trailer that my car can pull I'm definitely a newbie when it comes to trailers. Thanks!

Elaine, Unfortunately, most 13' trailers, when loaded, would exceed 1500 lbs. It is possible to keep it under 1500 lbs, but not easy.

Yes it's funny I've been reading different ads and they vary in weight I lost out on a 13' Trillium that the guy said weighed in at 750 lbs so I figured it might be possible.

I doubt that there are any 13' trailers that weigh 750lbs, even if they are full of helium. The earlier Trilliums only had a 1200lb axle on them. They should not have been loaded past 1200lbs. But, I bet they are.

The specs for the Trilliums manufactured in Calgary show 1395 lbs:
Trillium Trailers - The Outback - Features & Specifications

If you don't put much in the trailer, any 1300 will probably be under 1500 lbs.

What is maximum tongue weight for a Matrix?
That also has to be satisfied for safety.

What is your budget to purchase one? I have a 1976 1300, new upholstery, flooring, battery that I will sell if the price is right, thanks.

You may want to look more at the Boler's as they tend to be a little lighter. I think our 76 Trillium when weighed with tongue weight was closer to 1500lbs empty whereas a basic Boler was around 1200-1300. Both had fridges, ice boxes would reduce weight more.
Definitely don't believe what people advertise unless they have had it weighed, the misinformation just gets passed down from owner to owner.

If you're serious about towing a TT you may want to be looking into something more like a Hunter Compact ect for the car you have as it's tow ratings are limiting you to just a handful of trailers unless you upgrade your tow vehicle. You may want to look at Teardrop trailers. Sorry but your car really isn't built to tow a TT no matter what they list as specs. What does your manual say for towing weights including a tongue weight? It's the tail wagging the dog thing. Personally, I wouldn't tow anything with it, it's a small commuter car designed for gas mileage and you may want to use it for that and get another tug for towing a TT. Check the doc center here for the real world weights of FG trailers that are road ready for towing. Never go by the weight a seller says unless they have a good receipt from a scale. Hate to be a downer but safety first for all of us.

Bigfoot trailer 13 ft 1200lbs

Hi I live in BC and am selling my Bigfoot trailer. It's on the forum for selling fibreglass trailer. Feel free to email me at 1984.sutherland@gmail.com so I can send you more pictures

It's 100% refurbished with everything custom made. I even had the axel flipped and struts put on for extra clearance and so it can be taken to off the beaten trail camp sites !
