I might have your trailer. My wife and I just decided to sell our Scamp
16. I haven't taken photos yet or prepared an ad, but I'll run this by you first. Ours is an '85, but in excellent running condition. Last year I had the bearings replaced and got three new tires
. It also features a beefed-up tongue and a raised ride height, suitable for off-roading. It has a stovetop, a MaxxAir Fan and a Suburban heater. The interior is stock, with original carpet in decent shape. There's a Prodigy RF brake controller installed.
This is an exceptionally lightweight trailer. I've weighed it under 1900 lbs empty. A previous owner stripped out the bathroom and water tank, aiming for the roomiest but lightest trailer possible.
We're at a stage where trailer trips aren't so frequent. Now that our daughter is away to college in Tacoma, our vacations generally involve a plane. We delivered her to UPS last fall
on a road trip where the Scamp
performed admirably. I haven't set an asking price, but it would be within your price range. Let me know if you need photos or have questions.
