Hi Millie
I don't know if you are aware of the differences between the older 17' models and more recent 17.5' replacements. They look quite similar but are really quite different in features, weight, and price. You might want to expand or clarify your search criteria.
Best of luck and please let us know how it works out.

Walt

2007 Bigfoot 17.5'

hi millie
we do own a 2007 model 17.5' Bigfoot (new style) with rear bed/sofa. We were thinking of upsizing in the Spring of 2016 but could sell it this fall or winter. Our asking price would be $20,000 cdn. It is in near mint condition. We live in Abbotsford BC. All the best.

Because of the huge weight differences between early (1500 series) 17' and later (2500 series 17.5' ) BigFoots, it's important to know what you will be towing with as well.

Her F150 should be fine for either one.

HI there and thanks for the info, I should of clarified my post by saying that I'm interested in an older model $8000 or less.

I wasn't aware of the different weights of the older and newer models. perhaps you or anyone who does know might care to enlighten me?

With the addition of dual pane windows and other insulation and other changes the now "Standard" 2500 series has a much higher weight than the older 1500 series.
Examples are here:
Trailer Weights in the Real World

However, the 17.5' shown at 2980 lbs must be a 17' as the empty weight of 17.5" units is over that value. A lower listing shows a 17.5' at 4400 lbs.

You have to look far and wide. Just last Monday I was beat out of a beautiful 17' BIgFoot in, of all places, Wenatchee, WA. Asking price was $6500 USD = about $8000CDN. It sold for the asking price.

I didn't snooze at all, but being the first buyer the seller wouldn't budge $.10 on price and it did need a complete exterior redo. That may not have been an issue or apparent to the person that bought it. I left my offer and the seller called me the next day and told me that it had sold for his asking price. Very nice seller though...
