Wanted: Casita or similar, 16-17', CA or nearby states

I am in the market for my first travel trailer. I've hauled horse trailers so do have some towing experience, but realize there is much more to learn about travel trailers. I am working my way through the information on this (fantastic info!) and other sites.

I am sold on fiberglass and the Casita in particular. But, am open to other options.

Air conditioning is a must for the areas I plan to travel to.

Located in CA, but will travel to NV, OR, WA or AZ

Thanks so much for any information,
Mary

Hi Mary and Welcome to the group.

Tell us a little more about you and your needs. For starters:

Are you limited to 16' or longer?

What condition do you want? Turnkey.....project...something in between?

Can you do any of your own repair/remodel work?

What is your approximate desired price range?

Where in CA are you located?

and last, What will you be towing with?

Good Luck Hunting

OK, a bit more information

I am in the central coast of CA-south of San Jose, but willing to travel to see a trailer.

I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500, large engine. I pull a horse trailer with two horses with it with no problems.

I really don't want to go longer than 17 feet. I guess, 15-17 feet. I've seen a few 13 feet and would like a bit more room.

Condition: Turnkey would be very nice. I can handle minor issues, but nothing major. I do want clean, and well kept.

Thanks, Bob for getting me to list more information. This is a bit of a daunting journey-so much to learn.

The two biggest sources of FGRV's for sale is Craigslist.org and fiberglass-rv-4sale.com.

craigslist: monterey bay jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events Also check all C/L's from Sacramento to at least Santa Barbara. Any further south will get picked off by SoCal lookers, usually within hours of posting.

Molded Fiberglass Trailer Ads - US | Fiberglass RV's For Sale

Both of which you will have to check at least twice a day, and act on almost immediately, if you want to find a good one at a fair price in your part of the country.

BTW: There is an event at Lake Casitas (Near Ventura) at the end of October if you would like to see a wide range of different trailers. There is usually an open house time for looking at everyone's trailer.

Good luck hunting.

Hello John,

Thanks for your reply.

Would you please give me some details and photos of the trailer including what you are asking for it. I am very seriously looking.

Mary, thanks for the inquiry. Our casita is in excellent condition , everything ! Works. She has been garaged most of her life. As we said before new tires just last month. We are asking $8750.00. I am trying to send photos but. Not good at this. Probably just 2at a time. Let me know if and when you get them. Wes and Gayle

We have a 2014 Casita which we love but circumstances are forcing us to sell. This is a great little RV in like new condition. The only blemish is a small tear in the seam of the spare tire cover. Will consider delivery for cost of fuel only. I will answer other questions in a private message.

You may want to post your ad in the for sale section as this buyer has already bought a trailer and it may get lost in this thread

Good morning,
We have a 17' 2000 Casita Spirit Deluxe in very good condition, here in Florida. We will be putting it up for sale for $8,900. Just waiting for cooler weather to polish it.
Has awning, A/C, full bath, fantastic fan, solar battery charging panel, Added electrical element HW, New battery, and new tires. Quite a drive for you; but would be worth it.
Thank you...Sue Gilman
