issues with used

Be sure the Casita you buy doesn't have any known defects. One that stands out is that for 2002 and earlier models of Casita, there is no way to get the refrigerator replaced without modifying the frig.

Casita supposedly has a yearly updated list of improvements. So go to that before putting your cash down.

BTW, I'm having one other problem with my 2002. I'm getting a fiberglass bulge at my entry door. Not unexpected but noteworthy.

Bulge?

What do you mean by unexpected bulge? Can you post a picture?

I have a 2010 Casita Spirit Deluxe 17 ft that I am thinking about selling. I am retiring soon, and my wife and I are considering a 5th wheel to go full time. We love it, and I may have a hard time parting with it, but will have to see. I have done several modifications including adding a back hitch for a StowAway for extra storage. It has 4 scissor jacks, power jack, LED lighting, awning, kitchen and bath high rise faucets, 15 inch TV, King antenna, A/C, furnace. Let me know if interested, and I can take some photos to post or email to you if you like.

Rick,
Thanks for the reply....where are you located and the asking price?
My wife, daughter and I would like to take a look at it. If it is too far pics would be great.
Thanks again...looking forward to our first RV.

I am located in Duncanville, just south of Dallas. The cost of my Casita was $19K. I have put in about $2K of modifications. My asking price is $16750. Also, tires replaced a little over a year ago. Battery is about a year old. It has an outdoor shower. I forgot to mention that in my prior reply.

A photo might work but what is more striking is that the door is suppose to open without hitting the chassis. Recently, it now stops and hits the chassis at the juncture of the two halves at the hinge part of the door, preventing the door from opening enough to use the wind proof latch. Very annoying.

I have a 2003 17' Liberty Deluxe for sale. It will be available after mid February, going to spend a couple of weeks in Florida the 1st of the month. It is in very nice condition and has many options and mods. Reason for selling, buy a new Independent. If you are still shopping let me know. Asking $10,800. I will send pics and description if interested. Located in East TN, would be willing to meet in Arkansas.

Monte, there is information on uploading pics (photos) in our Forums 101 - Posting, Accounts, Basics . See post #7 on that thread.
