Smile WANTED in BC: 15-17' Lightweight Trailer With Bathroom and 2 Person Dinette

We are looking to upgrade our 13' 1994 LoveBug with a lightweight fiberglass trailer that has a bathroom and a 2 person dinette (so that the larger dinette can be a permanent bed).

An ideal trailer would be the 17B Escape, or one with a similar floor plan.

The fully loaded the trailer would have to be less than 4000 lbs.

We live in BC, and would like to find one close to home (BC/Alberta).

Thanks!

Escape 17B for sale in Campbell River, BC

I purchased our 17B new from Escape Trailer Industries, taking delivery late in 2012, travelling home to Campbell River on Vancouver Island via Burlington and Anacortes in Washington State. Incidentally, the Anacortes-Sidney ferry route off and on Vancouver Island was a relative bargain when the C$ was at par (and perhaps still is).

The trailer has been lightly used: a trip in 2013 through Washington-Idaho-Montana-Alberta, others, one trip each to visit family in Edmonton and the Cariboo in 2013 and in 2014. For the summer months in each year we have used it as our ”summer cottage”, parked in a shaded area on property that we share on a nearby lake.

Storage when not in use has been plugged in at our home.

I have treated the exterior with Aerospace 303 Protectant each year.

It has the very fine stock Escape Trailer Industries features, layout and colours, with dark green graphics.

Options installed/supplied are:

4.3 cu.ft. fridge
AC ready
Opening window over sink
Additional brake lights over rear window
Dual 6V batteries
Exterior access hatch
Pre-wire for solar
Surge Protector
TV ready
3 - 12V outlets
Tank wand

Other then-options that I understand are now included are:

Dual propane tanks
Bike Rack ready
Both exterior lights LED
Interior LED light package
Stainless steel Sink and Chrome Faucet

Included extras are:
Weight distributing equalizer hitch
BAL single-axle tire leveler
Hitch locks and security
Multi-sewer connection head (or foot?) (required in some campsites)
Holding tank hydroflush connection
Over-window rain gutters
Cover (smallest available from Camping World)
Tire chocks

After some consideration, I have set the asking price at $22,000 (Canadian), however, depending on response, I am open to reasonable offers. In view of the fact that we are on Vancouver Island, I am prepared to defray any ferry (even BC Ferries!) expense for the tow vehicle and the trailer off the Island to the ultimate purchaser.

If this is of interest to you please email at bdcacdc@gmail.com

Mike

Still looking? 1998 17' Bigfoot (1500 Series, Model B-17 Gaucho) is available in Nelson, BC. Gaucho sofa could be turned into a dinette area, if desired. Message me if you would like more info.

Hi,
Thanks very for your email .......... I perhaps should have said 14 to 16 - as I used to own a 17 Big Foot and it is 'too heavy' for my towing vehicle.
Thanks again........
Dennis
