Wanted Lightweight.

Aloha,

Wife and I live on Kauai and Park City. This year we are going to go nomadic and run some trails in North America.

We have a friend with a Trillium 13 and don't want anything too much larger than that but after looking at forums here we like (and made an offer) on a hunter compact II. We dig the retro style and think it would be important to be able to stand up and cook a meal, have ability to go off grid for a long time if needed and wire for TV if we wanted to watch a movie at night while relaxing.

If you have something that we should consider we would drive to get it just about anywhere and don't have a budget.

Mahalo Nui Loa,
billy and tiger

A similar one to look at, if you can find one, is the Trailswest Campster. It will be about the same layout with the pop up top.

No, you can't have mine.

Welcome!

Light is good, but some molded fiberglass trailers are not as light as you might think. 13'ers can range from around 1300-2000# or more once loaded for camping. Be cautious if you have weight constraints due to your intended tow vehicle. Sellers often quote manufacturers' published dry weights from 40 years ago, and those figures can be very misleading.

Are you by chance looking at the completely rebuilt Compact II in CA currently listed in the classifieds? Nice unit.

If you like the 1300, then the Trillium 4500 might be of interest:
