WANTED: Scamp 16' camper for top-down renovation

Hi Folks!

My wife and I quickly falling in love with the idea of quitting our jobs and completely remodeling an old Scamp trailer. We're both mechanical engineers and designers, and would love to take a well-loved trailer off your hands and breath new life into it. I'd be happy to share the floorplan with anyone who's interested. We're looking for a 13' or (preferably) 16' Scamp with solid shell and undercarriage. We'll take care of the rest!

Pleases don't hesitate to post with your ideas, words of warning/encouragement, or with some luck, your used camper! We're in CA, but would be willing to take a trip out just about anywhere.

Best,
Ming and Jared

Boler 1300 or 1700 or Trillium

Forgot to mention that we would also be very interested in a Boler 1300 or 1700, or similarly sized (13'-17') Trillium campers as well.

Please let us know if you think you've found a good match!

-Jared

"take a well-loved trailer off your hands"

Are you looking to buy or for a donation?????
If the former, give us an idea of your budget and you might get a couple of bites.
If the latter; fergetit..... esp in CA, where eggs are like gold.....

Although I certainly wouldn't argue with a donation, I would of course be willing to pay a fair price

We could afford up to $4500, but we were looking for anyone out there that might think theirs is worth much less. We will be stripping it down after all.

Also, any advice on great resources for restoration would be much appreciated. Are there any serious renovations out there we can learn from?

The best resource I've seen is this forum. The trick is using the search mechanism effectively. My graphic below gives the secret.

You've got a blank slate on this very rare beauty. Currently at $750 OBO. Your skillsets will come in handy.

Yep, browse through these 4 forums. Typically any thread with more than 5 pages and lots of pictures are an archive of the collective of the best minds here. (think borg, especially with the Apeco)

DO NOT miss out on daily checks at <<fibergalss-rv-4sale.com>> either.

I think that most revovations are serious, at least mine are:
Here's a few. Also look in my library at Sunraders and pop-ups for a few ideas.
