Hi,

My wife and I are looking to buy a small, used fiberglass trailer such as a Scamp, Casitas, or Boler. We have two kids, so we need to be able to sleep four. We rather get a trailer that is in very good condition, if possible. I wouldn't mind doing some repairs on it, but we don't really want a trailer that is too old. Ideally, the trailer would be no more than 10 years old, but we are willing to consider upto 25 year old trailers if they are in good condition. Also, we don't really care about having all the amenities like A/C, fridge, bathroom, etc., but we would still consider buying the trialer if they were there. We have a subaru outback that can pull 2400 lbs. with a tongue weight limit of 200 lbs., so the trailer would have to be lighter than that (13' or possibly a lighter 16/17' model.) Finally, we don't want to drive too far to inspect the trailer prior to purchasing and we live in Los Angeles, so hopefully we can find something within a few hundred miles. But if something very promising shows up, we would be willing to make a road trip out of it.

Thanks,
Chris & Raluca

Thanks Nakita. Unfortunately the 97 Scamp was already sold. We were looking into the 03 Scamp, but the price is a little high for us and it is quite a drive. The 77 listing expired. The 81 Scamp seems a bit worn and modified for single/couple usage (no bunk beds?) We are thinking that these trailers are a bit too expensive for the amount of use we would get out of them. However, if we could find a ten year old trailer for $4k then we definitely would jump on it. Doesn't seem like that is going to happen though...

Thanks,
Chris & Raluca
