Also: We are waiting to hear back from Kersti on several items that need to be repaired that should have been addressed during the $399 Pre-Delivery Inspection: leaky grey and black valves (safey issue in terms of sanitation: those are about $11 each and we are okay to install them ourselves), faulty LPG detector (safety issue in terms of detecting propane leaks; the cheapest one we've found is at Camping World for $50, which I believe we could install ourselves... the old one has only 2 wires to it, so it doesn't look like rocket science) and 3 rear trailer light bulbs (safety issue when driving at night--we have no idea what size and style lights go in the B19 top rear exterior lights). When we spoke yesterday with Kersti's tech, Mike, who did the inspection, he indicated that they would likely have us send in our receipts for reimbursement, but that Kersti would call us to confirm.

Update:

Although Southwest RV's technician Mike had suggested that we'd likely need to send in our receipts for reimbursement of the costs to repair the issues that got missed during the PDI, much to our surprise, Kersti emailed us and graciously offered to refund the $399 PDI fee to pay for the cost of replacing the tank valves and trailer bulbs, repairing the black water tank leak and replacing the faulty propane sensor. We had offered to do what we could ourselves to keep the costs low, but certainly feel relieved, because this will allow us to have a professional deal with these issues.

As we noted in our other posts, we felt that Southwest RV did a great job in terms of customer service; the fact that the trailer has had a few issues to be resolved didn't diminish that, since they seem willing to do whatever is necessary to resolve the PDI-related issues. Overall, we are thrilled to have our Bigfoot and had a lovely visit to B.C.
