People complain about the carpet from time to time, but it's actually an okay solution. Ours (10 years old, almost) doesn't retain odors (we're non-smokers, though; AND we don't fry fish indoors!), and it isn't otherwise soiled, either. (Admittedly, our trailer's not heavily used.) I actually like it... no condensation, you can hang (lightweight) stuff on it using drapery hooks, etc.
At some point in the '90s, Casita
began putting a fiberglass backsplash in the galley, in lieu of using carpet there. That was probably a smart move (although it meant the kitchen window was no longer easy to install, so they discontinued that installation).
Good luck with your quest. You could give Casita
a call and ask them if there's a 13 ft. in the area; they have a list of people willing to show theirs off - although the idea is you would perhaps buy a new one (and Casita would pay a referral commission if you did).
