If you don't find what you want between now and then, mine will go up for sale Memorial Day weekend. Right now, it's "in bed" for the winter.

Best of luck on your egg hunt

I have a new Escape 5.0TA on order Gene. Picking it up the end of June. I'm really trying to talk myself out of selling the Scamp. Love that trailer. Others hoard... why shouldn't I

Re: WTB 16 ft Scamp Trailer in PNW

I should have specified in my post that I am looking for a used trailer from the years 2000- 2010.

I understand. But, since you're new to the forum let me give you some advice. When it comes to all molded towables, it's not about the year build date, it's ALL about maintenance. It's not that uncommon to see trashed 5 year old trailers and stellar 30 year old trailers. I'm not pushing my 26 year old trailer... as I've mentioned, I'm trying to talk myself out of selling it. I just don't want to see you ignore for sale threads because of the age of the trailer. You may really regret that decision/opinion.

Best of luck!

Good point, Donna. My concerns are directed more to the life span of gas valves, plumbing fittings etc. If replacement of these things has been a part of the maintenance then, indeed I would agree with your assessments. I remain interested in what you have there.

I agree with Donna. Spoke to a guy at the Cherokee rally that had a scamp 16', can't remember the year model but it wasn't old. He had purchased it on good faith that all worked and later found it hadn't been winterized. All pipes and plumbing was trashed. So, when you buy you need to check everything. Hookup water and check for leaks, etc. Good luck.

It appears we are on exactly the same page as per my previous post. I am encouraged by what so far looks like a source for valuable insight via this forum.

Nadine, your Scamp is a 16ft or a 13ft they did not make a 15.

I'm bewildered by the seller's price. I bought a 2011 Scamp 16', layout 4, almost all options, for 13,500. The 12,000 pricetag seems out of whack for this FG trailer that's 25 years old.

People place a high value on their little eggs I guess it is up to the seller to ask what they want, and potential buyers will have the final say as to whether or not they feel the price is reasonable.

LOL, I can't argue that, Pam. I was just a bit stunned. If she really wants to sell this trailer, I hope she won't be disappointed that prospective buyers try to walk that price down some. If she succeeds in selling it at her asking price, I'll attempt to sell mine for 20,000. So I guess I'm hoping she succeeds.
