The year before, my son-in-law drove with me to Macon GA to tow an old car--also very much a project--home.
A few long days of driving for each, but neither was so bad that I wouldn't do something just as crazy again. [chocolate-covered espresso beans somewhat extend a person's daily driving limits]
We are no strangers to a serious road trip! We've bought our Acorn, many cars and a few pets, not to mention a wood burning stove a long distance away. I don't think my husband is surprised any more when I get these "crazy" road trip ideas. I do understand that some things are worth a long drive. Honestly, if the Burro was priced lower we would have been there and back by now.
