1980 Burro parts

I am looking for an original stove for my Burro. All the new ones, at least the two burner stoves, are smaller than the original opening.

I am also looking for a gravity feed furnace for my Burro. The one with the pilot light and no electrical wiring.

If you have one of the above please let me know.

I know that a lot of people like the new type furnaces but I want to avoid any electrical using appliances if possible.

Thanks!

Stove Top

I have one I was going to list on e-bay this week. I did not check it out before I pulled it out, but I think it will work fine. Needs cleaning up, but it would not take much getting looking good again.

Not sure how much shipping would be? I would guess around $50?

Feel free to make me an offer to keep from having to list on e-bay.

Somebody please chime in on a fair value for this for both of us.

I also have an original Ice Box I can sell.

Shipping Rates

My wife just took my ice box and stove top to Rapid Mail. They quoted her $120 to ship the ice box to California and $90 to ship the stove top to NE Iowa. She said about $5-10 was the cost of the box to ship and the packing.

This seems absurd?

I think I will just make another post here and on the local classifieds, and put a price with local pick-up only. Any suggestions or previous experience?

Thanks.

Corey, the United States Postal Service used to advertise that they had a service that "if it fits it ships" for one flat rate. They had several different sizes of boxes for this service.

S&H Correction

Just reviewed the Wrap It Mail quote.

It was $40.79 for shipping and $10 for boxing and packaging for the stove top.

It was $92 shipping or the ice box and $25 for packaging.

Wrap It Mail used Fed Ex, USPS, or UPS (you can choose the cheapest or the one you want). I do not know which carrier they were using for this quote.
