25 ft. RQ Bigfoot wanted

25 ft. RQ Bigfoot
Looking for one that is less than 10 years old...preferably garage kept.

We will sell our 21 FT RB (always kept in enclosed garage) once we land a 25Q.

Thank you

Russ

Hello Russ,
I am retiring and trying to zero in on the best rv for me. Live in Austin, TX, 62 and traveling solo.....been looking at the Escape 21 and 5.0TA but now with serious thoughts of fulltiming, I'm now looking hard at Bigfoot 21fb or 25rq.
Never had a rv before, have buy a truck and I'm concerned the 25rq with nose box may perhaps be too big, too difficult to handle, too big to get to scenic places......your thoughts. Also, you think a F-150, V8, 3.73 with GVWR of 7,000 be capable of towing the 25rq or would F-250 gas be better....
I am also assuming that since you are looking to upgrade from 21 to 25 you like the quality ? Any info / experience / opinions you can give would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
Drew Farmer

As a current 25RQ owner, I can vouch for the quality and livability of the Bigfoot. We previously owned an Oliver, which we purchased when I had both knees replaced and could no longer "clamber" around for tent camping. The Bigfoot sleeps warmer and drier in cold weather, just a little condensation on the windows. Previous trailer slept cool and damp (lots of condensation on windows and walls) during colder weather even with a lot of ventilation. So if you are looking for four season camping, I imagine a 21 would be about perfect. No trailer is perfect or defect free, however. But that's why there are forums like this one.

I have an 08' Bigfoot 25B25FB with the front storage box. Not an issue at all as far as towing or handling. The extra storage is a plus in my opinion. The additional two feet of frame I believe I read somewhere, in fact actually reduces tongue weight and improves handling. Tows like a dream.

What is the overall length of your trailer, especially with the box and extra 2 feet?

I ll second the previous comments re: quality/finish/durability/comfort etc.. of Bigfoot. I'll take it over anything else....hence why I search DAILY for a 25rq. Our 2004 RB has/continues to be everything I expected after driving from BC to Santa Barbara to bring it back home in 2007. I'm a firm believer that no matter what trailer/rv you have and you plan to keep it long term, it has to be stored under cover.

What I would suggest to you is that if full time rving is a consideration, rent first. Too many make the decision to full-time....only to wish that they had a "base" (a home) to return to.

Just sayin....

Just an inch or two beyond 27 feet from hitch to end of rear bumper. So 27' 2" approximately.

I have them on my other computer and am at work right now. I'll get them reposted this weekend. We have had this listed previously on this site.
