I just pulled one off of my 78 trill. It did not have any butyl underneath, which is a mistake.
It was attached with rivets thru the fiberglass into the trailer. This would be OK if it was otherwise sealed.
I'm willing to sell my old track, but shipping will be expensive because it is approx 10' long.

You should be able to get an appropriate length of track at virtually any RV dealer. Make sure you consider where you want the awning (how high above the door), where supports would go, and how you are going to attach and seal the awning rail.
