One of the forum members here sent me an item on trust that while not as expensive as the fan was more than the 110 adapter. I would have been equally happy to have sent them a money order in advance. If someone has 1000+ posts and you have read a lot of them you get a feel for what sort of person they are.

The fan on Amazon is around $70 with shipping, adapter around $25 so both for $50 is a pretty good deal, probably worth waiting a few days for.

One can pick up those USPS flat rate boxes at any post office for free and they can be a heck of a good deal. Especially if the weight is high for the size such as cast metal mechanical parts or it is going to or from a zone UPS charges more for. *cough* Backus Minn.*cough*.

One would have to measure the fan and go online to find the FRB size it would take. Don't think any have a 14 inch inside dimension so if the fan is the 14 inch model it isn't even an option.

One thing about any form of remote payment be it online or via snail mail. Someone, either buyer or seller has to go first without knowing if the other party will do their part. Only difference with Amazon or other places that take credit cards is the dispute mechanism, which does not seem to have eliminated scams. Better off dealing with someone I know if only by their reputation here in this neighborhood.

Dear CPAHarley,
Hi! I have been reading about the BAL leveler online, and then just came across your sale here. I'm assuming that it's been sold at this point as I'm late to arrive at your post, but if not, I am interested in it. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Wendy

Sorry Wendy Lee, I beat you to it. (Rare for me)

Ha ha! I'm glad for you. Great price on that leveler. I'll keep my eyes peeled for another.

Cheers!

Unless you're in a hurry for one, put it on your Amazon wish list and watch for price drops. I did that one year ago and found the Bal Leveler fluctuate from a high of $119 to a low of $67. Usually it runs just under $90. Good luck!

Thank you. I did not know that about Amazon. I'll give it a whirl now.

Also on amazon, you can use the website camelcamelcamel.com to price track amazon's fluctuating prices. Put in the item and you can see the high and low price for it and know when is the best time to buy!

I LOVE the BAL leveler. So much so, I now have TWO because I'm pulling a TA. SWEET!

Greasy and heavy? Are you kiddin' me? I've never gotten grease on my hands let alone anything else and... heavy.. so is wood and everything else you may need to level properly. Different strokes for different folks. I love the BAL levelers... I think I've said that before

I'm totally with Donna D. on this one. I think I paid around $80 for mine, 8.5 years ago. With well over 1000 nights in the Scamp that come out to less than 8 cents per night. A very small price to pay for something that makes leveling really easy and secures the trailer, the trailer is kind of hard to move with the wheel leveler in place. Better than any chock you'll find.

I knew there was a way to do that, but didn't know how. Thanks for the tip Kelly! I'll try that.
