Brand New Coleman 7 Amp Solar Charge Controller

Brand new Coleman 7 amp solar charge controller. Came in a Coleman solar panel kit. I added an extra panel so have to go with a bigger charge controller. $20.00

Hi, I am in Toronto and new to solar panel use. I bought a 15W 12V solar panel which is supposed to generate 1 Amp under ideal conditions. I plan on adding more panels later. It says that I should use a 7 amp charge controller. Will your charge controller work for my system (with additional panels later)? or do I need the bigger charge controller as well? How musch is it for shipping to Toronto? let me know or send me an e-mail and we can work out the details. George

I have two Coleman 40 watt solar panels, thus I have two 7-amp controllers ( each came with it's own ). I only need one, however to use just the one, I had to buy a splitter that allows me to plug both panels into one controller. I bought the splitter mainly to make things simpler and less cluttered.
I'm keeping both controllers so that I have a spare.
Panels and splitters and hub ( same thing as a splitter, but for 8 panels ) are all available at Canadian Tire and go on sale regularly.

how big is the second panel......

if it's another Coleman 40W panel that one controller can handle two panels (no need to buy another/bigger controller)

according to Canadian Tire and Coleman....on a "good day" those 40W panels will put out 3 amps max (bright sun and perfect exposure).....the controller is rated for 7 amps
