I'm still looking for those rock guards! Anyone have a pattern or detailed photos on what the things look like and how they are attached?

Owned a couple of Burros. Never saw a rock guard on the rear window. Mine was only on the front and I bought one of the burros brand new from factory as a kit. I have no pics. It consisted of an aluminum frame, thin fiberglass sheet wit logo on it. Attached by simple hinges to top of window frame area and some lightweight extension arms that tighten with wingnuts to hold it open when opened up. I am sure some current owners on hear could to take a pic.

Pictures of what was included in the original kit was posted in the forums some time ago. There should be pictures of rock guards in the gallery.

Thank you Weldon and Roy. This looks like I will be doing a "build my own " project.

Did you ever make your own? I'm facing same problem. Did you ever find an awning that worked with your Burro? I don't have any extra piece along the top to slip anything into it like an awning. Thanks!

I did find an awning solution.

I attached hooks to the roof using a 3-m product since I did not want to use screws. It worked all summer and is still holding. I made the frame with PVC pipe and the awning with canvas. I'm happy with it - but it doesn't just pull out like the modern ones. The rock guard I have not made yet. I've been busy with fiberglass repairs on my door. Next job in line is a fiberglass shelf across the back above the rear window. The rock guard just keeps getting pushed back.
