Dometic 3 way refrigerator freezer door

Hi! I'm looking for a Dometic RM2118 freezer door. Mine is broken where the plastic fits inside to keep it on.

Do you mean that the actual door is broken, or the plastic hinges on the ends that have springs to keep the door closed?

The Utube vids for installing them are also good. They were very helpful when I replaced mine.

Hi Jim, it's the plastic little "bump like" piece on the freezer door that fits into the little hole on the fridge. The tiny plastic bump has broken off so the door doesn't stay on anymore. I've thought of melting something plastic in it's place, but not sure that will last. Thank you for your message.

I am not sure what you mean by a "bump like" piece you are referring to. Is it along the top of the door, or on the two sides? Could you post a pic of it?

Thanks Gene, but mine is different. It has no hinges. It has a small plastic piece that fits in small holes at the bottom and top. I wish this one would work. I appreciate you taking the time to show it. I still don't know how to post pictures on here. Sorry

I rebuilt the bottom portions of mine with a product called Devcon steel.
it's a little like making a two part epoxy, then goes on like bondo, very hard to work with when cured, so make as neat a repair as possible, if you need a hole in it, use an insert if you can find something the same diameter mine had two holes at they bottom that had both broke away and the door wouldnt stay on I mixed a batch, slathered in on, then put the inserts in place, used a putty knife to scrape off excess, and let it cure, when it was solid, I used a file to clean up rough edges, not pretty, but it has worked for 3+ years

Thank you, Joe. I will try that. The bottom to mine is good....It's the top tiny piece that fits into the hole that is broken off. I'll let you know how it goes.
