No need for things to go to waste. It'll be a few weeks before I will get around to it, but if nobody wants the whole unit, I'll see about breaking it down and spreading the joy. I'll dm you two gents to see about the particulars at that time.

Hi Brad, I'm in East York as well. I could pick it up tomorrow or anytime this week. I've got a couple other parts fridges that don't fit properly in my boler so I might be able to get yours running. I just sent you a private message with my contact number.
thanks,
Kevin

Let me know if this is still available, and we can come by this week to take it off your hands.

thanks!

Lots of interest here.
I would pick it up near the end of May if it is still available.
I live near Denver Colorado but my brother lives near Buffalo and we have a camp on Georgian Bay near Key Harbour and that is where it would be headed.

SOLD!! Well, given away, to be accurate…

Many, many thanks for the interest, folks, but the fridge has found an owner. I plan to test the stock propane heater and stove in the next week or so, and make a decision about whether or not to keep or sell those, too.

How the heck was it mounted? I need to pull one out of my 78 Xplorer motorhome (partly fiberglass.. the roof and rear haha) but I can't figure out how. I removed 3 screws I manged to find it BARELY had some movement, as in, 1/200th of an inch..

I forget the exact where and when of the screws (were they all on the back..?), but there was sealing putty all around the top, bottom and sides of the unit that provided a fair bit of friction. Also, make sure you electric and propane leads aren't catching.

Yes, I did see some foam sealer around the top when I pulled out the stove top part way that's right over it. The screws I found were at the sides... makes no sense.

A much larger Dometic fridge I had once, you drove in screws at the front side (around the door).

I'm trying restricting the ventilation to see if it cools better before I pull it since that seems like that may be the problem with it.

Three way switch

Possibly just need a working 3 way switch. You know, the one with the red chicken head knob. Anyone got one?

Susan, There are two electric heaters, one 120VAC, the other 12VDC. Only one gets a thermostat, (the 120VAC one, I think).
I have said knob available. PM me with your address. Never thought of it as a chicken head, he he.

I would gladly pay the shipping for that fridge to my house in Rochester MN
It is just the fridge that I need, and have been looking for.
