Front Window Cover for Boler 1300

I am looking for a front window cover for my 13' Boler.

This would be the fiberglass cover to protect the front window.

Anyone got one?

You should just get the front cover from Scamp. If you live close enough drive there. Also if you do drive there I might want you to get some for me.

Hi: jmkboler...Failing getting one from Scamp you could find the cut out piece from the windows holding up your water tank under the dinette floor. Get just the hardware from Scamp and some edging and make your own. A piece of exterior grade plywood can hold the water tank in place.

Interesting idea, but the water tank was held inplace with plywood. I removed the water tank and replaced it with a tank inside the dinette bench seat years ago.

Scamp wouldn't ship an upper cabinet to us in Canada (BC) as a heads up, not sure this is always the case but you might run into the same response.

Also (as Alf suggested) I don't think most Bolers use a window cut out to hold up their water tank, none that we have seen anyways (70's models in BC).

Does your front window need to be replaced? Because if by any chance it did, you could use it as a mold & create a cover with fiberglass if you are handy.

The newer bolers made in Ontario have the water tank placed between the frame rails and held in place with the cut out as mentioned. This is the case with our '84 model. Also the window cover is moulded, similar to the scamp model. If they won,t ship to Canada then perhaps someone could bring one to a Bolerama gathering for you. There was some good interchange of parts at the Niagara Winefest this year.

In talking with Scamp on this topic they actually will ship to Canada but the problem is the cost is more than the cabinet is worth. They only use one way/mode for shipping parts and thats it - will not consider using a different/cheaper option of shipping if you ask.

Since Winnipeg is so close to the US border (1hr drive), there are several companies that provide a package receiving service. I plan on talking with Scamp to see if they will ship to one of these companies on my behalf. This way, I can pick it up relatively easily.

Kent another option is to talk with the folks at Trillium in Calgary. They have been pretty helpful to a number of Boler owners. They may have something that works for you and you could have it shipped to you via GreyHound Bus parcel service which could be a lot cheaper.

If I am not mistaken, the Trillium uses a square cornered rectangular cover, with an aluminum frame and a corregated fiberglass insert panel.

If this is true, I think that is rather ugly and wouldn't consider putting it on my egg!

You are thinking of the old style Trillium rock guards, if you look here
Trillium Trailers - The Outback - Photo Gallery you will see the new ones are all fiberglass, rounded corners.
Funny though as I am actually quite partial to the old ones but for a Trillium not a Boler.

Jim, you never know without asking but they might be willing to send you a blank piece of fiberglass in the correct side and you could put the trim on the edges any way you wish.
